7 Little Juicy Secrets About Me

7 Little Juicy Secrets About Me

I have only been blogging for about 3 weeks. But I have been reading blogs for about 8 months or so. Well I am trying to make up for lost time so I have been visiting and commenting on my favorite blogs like crazy. One of my favorite blogs is The Mommyologist. She is the real deal. She is funny and speaks the truth about motherhood. Yesterday I popped over to her blog, like I do everyday, and saw that she tagged me in her "And Here's Seven More" post. I was thrilled. I dropped it low and did a little bloggy dance. I was actually tagged by a couple of my fellow bloggy friends so I need to spend some more time this weekend catching up on all this.

But for now I have to tell you, my bloggy friends, 7 things about me that you may not know. Which hopefully will be easy since you guys don't know too much about me yet. Other than I like Brazilian Waxes and I like to Talk About Sex.

Ok here are 7 juicy little secrets about me. Well maybe they're not real juicy and not really a secret but I will try to think of something fun.

1. I am borderline obsessed with dressing my two girls in matching adorable Gymboree outfits. And I love getting made to match bows. Before I had kids I would have never in a million years thought that I would like kids clothes so much. I am pretty sure I made fun of moms who dressed their kids alike and I know for sure I hated that my mom did that to me and my sister. But once I had girls and once I was introduced to Gymboree and I must not forget Gap, Hanna Anderson, Janie and Jack, and the Children's Place I was hooked. So my kids dress alike as much as possible. And honestly I could care less if people think I am a dork for it.  It is one of the many things I love about having my little divas.

2. Up until about 7 months ago I ran an eBay store. Guess what I sold? Yep kids clothes. Primarily gymboree. I made pretty decent extra cash doing it and it got me through my two maternity leaves but it was so much work that I coulnd't do it anymore. I actually wrote a 100+ page ebook on it and consulted with many moms trying to sell their stuff on ebay. I loved doing that. I still sell all my kids outgrown clothes and stuff around the house on eBay but not at the volume I was. I most likely will talk about selling on eBay on this blog from time to time because it is still a part of my life and a way I make some extra cash to keep my divas stylin. And at some point I may offer my e-book through this blog. But I am updating it now and who the heck knows when I will be done with it.

3. If I could wear velour track suits everyday I would. I LOVE velour. I have on velour right now. I have about 6 velour track suits all in different colors. Oh and love dressing myself and my girls in matching velour outfits. Yes I go out in public like this. AND I LOVE IT!

4. During my undergraduate and graduate degree I worked as a waitress at the Olive Garden. I loved it! I actually met my hubby through a friend I worked with there. And very often I feel like I learned more about life and work waitressing for 5 years than I did in my entire time in college. Oh if I knew then what I know now...

5. I work full-time but I have off Thursdays and Fridays. I work long days mon-wed and sundays. I work with college students (talking about sex) and I have an amazing boss so I was able to flex my schedule so I can be home with my kids more and save on the outrageous daycare costs. But this schedule as great as it seems also has it flaws. For one I am totally exhausted mon-wed and barely see my kids or hubby those days. And I have to get all my work done in that time. But I feel very fortunate because my kids are then only in daycare 3 days. But honestly, I don't think they would care if they were there everyday because come monday morning they are running diving into their teachers arms and so excited to see their little friends. But I feel like I am in a good place right now with my carreer and kids. My situation works for us.

6. I absolutely love facebook and feel like I would have no social life if it didn't exist. Actually if it wasn't for  the internet I would probably be a total loser. Oh wait or is it because I need the interet for a social life that makes me a dork. Whatever I don't care I love it. I am going to make a facebook page for my blog soon. That's about number 20 on my long to-do list with this here blog. But I also have about 10 other to-do lists as well.

Also I have a twitter account. My user name is thismamaworksit but I have no idea how to use it. I know I am an idiot but really when I look at people's tweets it is like I am reading a foreign language. I am trying to get it cause I know it is important.

7. I like threesomes.....totally kidding. Just wanted to throw in some juiciness because as you see my life is a bit boring for the most part. But last thing about me I guess that I will add is I love movies from the late 80s and 90s. Some of my favorite movies are: The Money Pit, National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, Parenthood, Weird Science, and pretty much everything like it.

So there are seven things about little ol me. Not to crazy.

Ok now I have to tag some bloggy peeps. Hmmm who shall I tag. Let me go through my google reader:

You lucky girl getting to dress your girls in gymboree with matching bows! I miss gymboree – but I only got to shop in the boys section!

Hope your work day is enjoyable:)

Hey just stopping by from SITS, your home on the net looks great, especially for only 3 weeks old. I know what you mean about 3 days in daycare – it feels like the right option for me too. But man, those 3 days I do work are loooong.

Oh, if only I had little girls. I would dress them alike too. Boys aren’t so cute when they are dressed alike. Especially when they are 5 years apart. Oh, and I like to talk about sex too. I think I’m a little jeleous that you get to talk about sex and get paid for it!
