Hey there Sexy Mamas!
Well tomorrow is Valentine's Day (V-Day)! Yay chocolate, candy, flowers, gifts...uh no...try more like yay a guaranteed night for sex!! If you have been reading my blog you know that I believe that couples with children in order to ever have sex again need to schedule sex. If you didn't read that post then take a second and read it here.
Well all of you should have circled and highlighted at least one night this weekend for a little nookie. Yep I said nookie I guess I am just in one of those moods. But as we all know when their are kids involved sometimes things do not always go as planned.
So to help a mama out I sat down with the hubby and talked about how, no matter what, we are going to guarantee that we get a little nookie in this V-day weekend. I hope our tips help you out too.
This is what we can up with:
- If at all possible get a babysitter. Now I don't think this is an easy one because a lot of younger people, who don't care about blowing $150 on dinner, are going out. So if you can get someone great. But for us we could not get a sitter so we are going to keep on with this list because our kids are going nowhere this weekend.
- Get the kids involved during the day in V-day activities and TIRE THEM OUT! Let them make cards, candy, or whatever to celebrate v-day. Also give them a chance to burn off some serious steam. Bring them to one of those bounce house places, let them play in the snow, or whatever will completely wear them down. The main goal is passed out by 8:00pm. Think of it this way V-day is for the kids and V-night is for mommy and daddy.
- Try to take a nap! Take turns. So you both have energy once the kids go to bed. I cannot tell you how many times we are running all day with the kids and I know it is our night to have a little fun to just find myself totally exhausted after we get the kids to bed. So rest up!
- Get to feeling sexy! After the kids are in bed then start working on getting yourself prepped and feeling good. Take a bath, shave your legs, put on some yummy smelling lotion and dig out the sexy lingerie if you have it. For me I don't even bother I jump from the bath into the bed. haha!
- JUST DO IT!! Ok I don't mean to sound like a commercial but just in case everything else above fails who cares be intimate and have sex with your hubby anyway. It's Valentines Day and that should be reason enough to have sex!
So there you go! I hope all of you have a great romantic sex filled Valentine's Day weekend with you hubby's or significant other.
I put together this post pretty quickly so if you think there are some tips I missed please feel free to add away. I love hearing what you all have to say.

Hey mama, you sure do know how to work it! Very enjoyable post and managed to relight my fire (having lost that loving feeling this evening due to the usual petty b.s.).
This post actually reminded me of an additional V-Day pressie I wanted to pick up for the hubby – it’s a bell that says ‘Ring for a …’ (you know what). Sometimes we’re too tired even for scheduling, but hopefully we’d never be too worn out for a little ding dong!
Also Benadryl works a treat on the little ones….
LMAO @Athol Kay. Too clever. This is fabulous advice. I will have to get some activities planned tomorrow to tire the little one out. & Yes, it is a must to plan ahead after having kids. Definitely. Happy Valentines Day!
What do I do if I just realized I have a fever and can’t swallow? And, I even went to one of those ‘sexy stores’ and picked up some presents for my man… after 4 kids, we need a change! I feel badly that our romantic night might be postponed.
Cheers! Coming from SITs, but via another site.. saw your Tweet on someone else’s page. Can’t remember! I’m following you now!
I (and my hubby) wish! Our little one is soooooo sick right now. No romance on the agenda
I’m a little late on the comment but hey this could work on other time that’s not V-day. Thx for the follow. howdy from MBC
